The ISC Big Dan steel is a versatile wide top carabiner rated at MBS 50 kN. It has a smooth action, triple-lock, Supersafe mechanism similar to the ISC aluminum carabiners and a non-snag nose for easy rope handling. Made from heat-treated alloy steel to EN 362 standard (also meets the NFPA (1983) (G) and ANSI Z359.1 standards). Proof tested to 16kN and individually numbered for easy tracking. This is the steel carabiner of choice for most rigging applications. As recommended by New Zealand's leading arborist rigging trainers.
