The Big Shot quick release snap increases accuracy significantly. It utilizes a Spectra line to create a self-locking position for the snap anywhere along the Jameson pole to ensure low-stress launching. Without the trigger mechanism your aim can be a bit haphazard particularly if you are doing long reach shots (probably the very reason you are a using a Big Shot in the first place). The more tension you put on the Big Shot rubber the more you are likely to 'wobble' the pole end - making your aim less than perfect! Pole 'wobble' is completely eliminated with the use of the quick snap trigger since you can pre-tension the rubber, then take aim and release when ready - hence, perfect shot first time. The mechanism looks simple enough but is very effective and well worth the investment.
