Designed specifically to prevent cross loading of the carabiner during belay, but in treework the DMM Belay Master is the carabiner of choice for climber lowering devices in base anchored access systems. The DMM Belay Master is technically a screwgate carabiner with an additional super safe feature: the heavy-duty plastic security clip can only be locked if the screwgate is properly closed first. The taper nose, a special flared profile on the nose of the biner significantly increases the strength of the gate. New I-Beam construction. Described as 'fool proof' by DMM
