Salewa GTX

Made in Italy by Salewa. The GTX is another mountain approach boot not specifically designed for tree climbing (like the Scarpa Pro Ascent) but has proved to be an excellent option. The GTX is no longer in production but Treetools has managed to secure a limited number New Zealand for tree climbers. The rubber rand runs up the bottom side for added protection. No steel eyelets for the lacing system and a relatively low heel for foot locking. Goretex lined. Vibram 'climbing zone' sole and a half shank for stability. The 'climbing zone' toe plate is made from an extra grippy, soft rubber compound for superior toe holds.
