It is designed to meet the high demands of friction cords when they are used in a DbRT climbing configuration combined with a pulley or friction saver at the anchor point. Composed of a polyester/aramid sheath over a polyester core, Ocean Polyester resists abrasion, is 'grippy' and has superior heat resistance. The second generation Ocean Polyester was made softer to facilitate difficult knotting applications as specified by the Treemagineers. This is one of the most popular heat friction cords available.
