Ocean Polyester is a heat resistant friction cord composed of a polyester/aramid outer sheath and a polyester core. This is the second generation of Ocean Polyester stitched together in a continuous loop for friction hitches or many other applications in tree work. Tested to EN 795B and EN 566. The stitched connection is quality assured for higher strength and less bulk than a knot. If the double fishermans knot on your friction prussic configuration has seen its day, look to replacing it with the Ocean Polyester LOOP. This is one tough piece of friction cord.
